SAP® Alliance

SAP has been a long-time supporter of Esperanza. Over the years, SAP has assisted in the expansion of Esperanza's outreach thanks to ongling financial support to assist us in providing business training and services to the working poor. SAP is a leading provider of business software worldwide; delivering products and services that help accelerate business innovation for their customers. Esperanza shares a similar goal. SAP has also created a friendly competition between its four regional sales teams toraise donations for our Bank of Hope Sponsorship program. 100% of donations raised for Esperanza's sponsorship program go directly to financing groups of low-income businesswomen and men in the Dominican Republic.

Our Alliance

The Dominican Institute of Telecomunications, in conjunction with the Office of the First Lady of the Dominican Republic, partners with Esperanza to install and maintain computer centers. The centers consist of 20-30 computers with Internet access. Training sessions as well as public access for a small monthly membership fee allow underemployed people to receive information and practical training to become more qualified for a variety of careers. Current centers are located in five provinces of the Dominican Republic with more in development.

Grameen Foundation Alliance

In 2002, the Grameen Foundation evaluated nine of the most promising microfinance institutions in the Dominican Republic and chose to partner with Esperanza International. The Grameen Foundation has allied with Esperanza to provide on-site technical assistance, training, and project coordination.

Our Alliance

HOPE assists Esperanza with funding, technical assistance, coaching and mentoring. As a rapidly maturing ministry, Esperanza also helps HOPE and other ministries in the HOPE Network by sharing its lessons learned, experience, and advice. Through the microfinance progam, over 20,000 loans have been distributed. The Dominican Republic provides an accessible opportunity for HOPE supporters who would like to contribute in practical, concrete ways to this ministry. HOPE Trips are available throughout the year to the Dominican Republic.

Mircrosoft® Alliance

Microsoft has donated software to help us establish computer centers in the communities where we serve. Microsoft has donated more than $2M in software and provided a detailed curriculum for nine courses from an introductory course, to using Microsoft Office applications to troubleshooting and Internet use. These classes are designed to develop student aptitude in basic computer use as well as specific skills that will help them in the job market. In addition to formal classes, every center is equipped with Internet access and Encarta encyclopedia to allow the public to to have access to an information resource much like a library. Since September 2006, we have opened five such computer centers near Esperanza branch offices in Consuelo, Hato Mayor, El Seybo, Samana and San Pedro. In the first year of operation, 22 jobs for teachers have been created at these centers, 3,150 students have already completed courses offered, and 1,185 students are actively enrolled in classes.

Our Alliance

The New York Mets organization has provided grant money to fund our community development projects and has used its connections to network, advocate and fundraise on behalf of Esperanza. Omar Minaya, the Mets General Manager and Vice President of Baseball Operations, is on Esperanza’s board of directors. His role with both organizations has helped create a partnership that focuses on creating opportunities for Dominican communities not only to benefit from baseball programs, but education health care and economic resources as well.

Pinnacle® Alliance

Pinnacle® has been a dedicated sponsor to Esperanza’s mission by supporting its programs with generous monetary donations. They were also the presenting sponsor for our 2007 auction and golf tournament fundraisers, which help to raise support and awareness of Esperanza to corporate sponsors and the public.

Our Alliance

Dave Valle and his former team have joined forces once again, only this time to support the Human Development and Transformation program of Esperanza. Former teammates and current players come together for autograph signings or donate items for auction events in an effort to raise support, money and awareness for impoverished families in the Dominican Republic. Funding and materials are also donated through grants from the MLB Players Trust and MLB Baseball Tomorrow Fund to construct baseball fields in the D.R. and equip little league teams with shoes, bats, helmets and uniforms.
