Fellowship Opportunities

Our Fellows have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects that enable them to gain firsthand experience in microfinance in both the Dominican Republic and Haiti. As a Fellow, you will have the blessing of witnessing how people’s lives are changed through our programs and experience the joy of knowing that you were part of those changes.

Some of the projects Fellows work on:
• Kiva stories (posting and journaling)
• Chronicles, journals and reports of associate success stories
• Esperanza y Vida (Esperanza's HIV/AIDS program)
• 40 Days (Esperanza's program that deals with prostitution, severe illnesses and debilitating circumstances)

Esperanza believes that the future of development belongs to the leaders who possess the mind of a banker and the heart of a pastor.

Service Projects

Esperanza offers a variety of ways to get involved with more service oriented projects.

Our Housing Improvement Department connects individuals with families in need, and welcomes guests to the Dominican Republic to physically help with the construction of concrete floors, new roofs, new homes, and sanitation projects. We work with you to help raise the funds needed, and then again, to turn dreams into reality.

Our Human Development and Transformation Department welcomes church groups who are interested in hosting Bible camps for children, vocational workshops, and English courses. We also welcome Spanish-speaking individuals to participate in Project Amo, a program designed to nurture children with beauty, truth and moral goodness, bringing them hope and vision through after-school workshops and activities.
